Every woven piece tells a story.  I re-investigate historical patterns found in traditional guernsey sweaters (fisherman's sweater) and also colloquial woven patterns.  We often forget or disregard the origin and significance behind each pattern.  With salmon skins, I endeavour to get the viewer to take notice of the pattern and become reacquainted with their stories.
